A Day of Pumpkin Picking and Fun
Even though it’s still September, and despite the fact that we just returned from our family vacation to the beach, my wife had it in her head today that the fall weather meant it was time to get our pumpkins. Well, I like pumpkins, and Ethan definitely likes pumpkins (heck, who doesn’t?) so we all piled into the car and trekked (for an hour) up to the Gaver Tree Farm. Below are a few of the moments caught on film:
It WAS a trip to pick pumpkins… and what’s a farm without a hayride out to the pumpkin patch?
And after stepping around the pumpkins for a few minutes, our little boy picked out his own pumpkin!
After all the hard work of picking out our pumpkins, we had to cool off on the “lightening” slide.
And yes, we were those parents… Poor kid.
Then Lauren found the “short” bus that she is so familiar with.
What’s a visit to a farm without some animals?
Finally, Lauren and I each had our own fun…
All in all, it was a great idea and a great day… and now we have our pumpkins all picked out and ready to carve in a month…
